About Island Tallow
Island Tallow began because I wanted simpler skincare with fewer mystery ingredients. So I started making my own soaps and balms.
The trouble with making soap is that you can’t really make just one bar. I shared the extras with family and friends, who came back asking for more. Then their friends wanted some. Then people out of state. When a health and wellness company placed a wholesale order, I thought, “Well, apparently this is a business now.”
And Island Tallow was born.
Today, Island Tallow is a small, family-owned business based in Galveston, Texas. Every product is handcrafted in small batches, mixed, poured, and sometimes even brewed right here on the island.
When you shop with us, you aren’t funding a giant corporation. You’re supporting a real family, helping with college, and keeping a little island business growing.
